UNDER THE DARK SOIL is proud to announce the release of the UK edition cassette tape for the debut album of Chinese black metallers VENGEFUL SPECTRE.

Hailing from Shantou where people may least expect a black metal band would rise in the CNBM scene, the first answer sheet of VS to the world of black metal has been widely acclaimed.

The 36-minute conceptual album describes a story of eastern swordsmen concerning war, conspiracy, betrayal and revenge. Mixing with Chinese folkloric music elements, the songs show rich varieties by the mature use of furious metal riffs and atmospheric interludes executed by traditional instruments of Middle Kingdom. It is intriguing for listeners to find out how a vision of battlefield is created through the collision of frenzy and tranquility. Within the sonic framework constructed by VS, the technical prowess proves the band’s capacity to firmly grasp the very essence of black metal with an oriental-stylised silhouette.
