Dreamscape rustic ambient ur-folk ruminations from an alliance made between Andorra and Germany, PYRE:NUMEN and Alpabutz present a long awaited split incantation of complementary folklore in which the ancient realms of the Pyrenees and the Alps meet together in unity.

Evoking folk soundscapes since the age of 2019, PYRE:NUMEN is the Pyrenees-ensorcelled ambient sound project of archaeologist Martin Locker (MONS:NUMEN, BRYTHO:NUMEN & Hexafoil) which, since its inception, has documented the histories and folklores of Andorra in haze of dream drowned tales of yore. Here in alliance with ALPABUTZ, PYRE:NUMEN takes reins of the first half of their collaboration, presenting one of its most rustic and traditionally folk outings; providing acolytes with a rich tapestry of heartfelt ancestral samples, acoustic folk sojourns, ethereal synth drones, innate field recordings and a sonic spell construction that allows for a true journey into the heart of the Pyrenees mountains.

A mysterious entity hailing from Germany, ALPABUTZ has existed at least since the age of 2016, focusing on a truly wholehearted expression of acoustic ur-folk shamanism that focuses on the Allgäu region of Bavaria and the myths that said territories run wild with. With its side of this split incantation first recorded in 2016, with versions of these spells wandering the realm for several years, here they have been presented in their correct order and with more clarity of sound; providing acolytes with a dedicated ur-folk experience, acoustic guitar melodies, field sound naturism, spartan atmosphere production and whispered croaking vocal orations of lonely lamentation - a true hidden gem from the heart of the Alps mountains.
